See The Best Of Moab In A Day In A Jeep
This all-day experience consists of two convenient and perfectly arranged tour segments. You will start with a convenient pickup from your hotel and a drive along scenic highway 313 to the top of the Mesa where both Dead Horse Point State Park and Canyonlands National Park are located. First, you and your guide will make a quick visit to see the spectacular view of the Colorado River and its horseshoe bend from Dead Horse Point State Park and you will gaze at the awesomely tall cliffs of Canyonlands National Park in the distance. Then, you will head over to Canyonlands National Park where you will visit the most important viewpoints and take magnificent photos of the canyons below carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers. The engaging geology interp will cover why Canyonlands N.P. is so different from Arches N.P. despite being only 30 miles away and how its different from Grand Canyon National Park despite being carved by the same Colorado river! At the end of this 4 hour segment, you tour guide will bring you back to town and your hotel. The same tour guide will then pick you up again in the late afternoon for a magnificent sunset tour of Arches National Park! The departure for this segment varies due to changes in the time of the sunset (departure around 3pm in winter to 6pm in summer), but your tour guide will let you know the pick up time at the end of the morning segment. In Arches National Park you will spend 3 hours sightseeing all of the iconic features and individual arches that make this national park so magnificent. The tour includes stops and short hikes to Double Arch, Turret Arch, South and North Window, and visits to the viewpoints of the Delicate Arch, Balanced Rock, Park Avenue, and Skyline Arch. You will return to town under the cloak of dusk truly having seen The Best Of Moab! Both tour segments include lots of stops for taking photos, restroom breaks, and are very relaxed with only minimal amount of walking involved necessary to see the arches up close! You will travel on in a four-door, enclosed, modern, clean, air-conditioned quintessential Moab vehicle – a Jeep. This tour is a sightseeing tour and does not include any off-roading. (*Please note: Delicate Arch on this tour is viewed from the Lower Viewpoint only. If you would like to see it up close, it can be accessed by a moderately strenuous 3 mile hike on your own time. Plan on 2-3 hours for this hike early in the morning, or late in the afternoon due to heat and crowds.)Additional InformationConfirmation will be received at time of booking, unless booked within 3 days of travel.
